New i.MX 8M-based boxed solution for multimedia and IIoT applications

Arezzo, January 19th, 2022 – SECO, center of excellence in the field of technological innovation for IoT and AI solutions, announces today a new boxed solution based on the NXP i.MX 8M family of Applications Processors: the SYS-C20-IPC.

 

This fanless box PC exploits NXP i.MX 8M Family multicore processing, as well as industry-leading audio, voice and video processing, thus providing a solution well-suited for multimedia and Industrial IoT applications.

 

The SYS-C20-IPC comes with i.MX 8M Quad/ QuadLite/ Dual processors, up to quad A53-core. The integrated Vivante GC7000Lite GPU, supporting OpenGL ES 1.1 / 2.0 / 3.0 / 3.1, Open CL 1.2 and Vulkan, ensures up to 4Kp60 video resolution. A dedicated VPU is also available with Quad and Dual CPUs. Memory-wise, this boxed solution features up to 2GB DDR3L on-board memory, and optional eMMC 5.0 drive on-board, up to 16GB.

 

Coming to connectivity options, the SYS-C20-IPC is provided with a variety of interfaces: optional HDMI interface; line Out + Mic In combo TRRS audio jack; 1x GbE and optional on-board WiFi+BLTE; USB 2.0/3.0 ports; 1 x RS-232 Serial port; optional 2x 12 poles terminal block connectors with I/Os such as CAN, GPIO, SPI, I2C, and more. Android and Linux OS are supported. Furthermore, the SYS-C20-IPC can be equipped with optional VESA 100 bracket accessory and optional DIN standard mounting plate accessory.

 

Thanks to its combination of processing power and audio and video quality, the SYS-C20-IPC applies to a wide range of target markets, that scale from digital signage and infotainment to edge computing, up to industrial automation and control and IIoT.
