Arezzo, May 19, 2022 – SECO adds to its family of Smart Edge boxed solutions DORADO, a fanless, IP20 box PC based on the Rockchip RK3399 applications processor specifically designed for high-end industrial applications.
DORADO’s Rockchip RK3399 processor, with 2x Cortex®-A72 cores and 4x Cortex®-A53 cores, up to 1.8GHz, and 64-bit architecture includes an integrated Mali-T860MP4 graphics processing unit (GPU), paired with an embedded video processing unit (VPU) for hardware decoding/encoding of multiple video compression standards. Two independent video outputs with up to 4K resolution are supported via HDMI connector and DisplayPort (DP) interface on USB Type-C connector (alternate mode). 2 GB of 64-bit LPDDR4 system memory and 16 GB of eMMC 5.1 flash storage are provided via soldered components. Vast networking and connectivity are provided via 1x Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 connector, on-board Wi-Fi and BT5.0 module, on-board LTE Cat4 modem with microSIM slot and external antennas, and 2x USB 3.0. Additionally, 3x USB 2.0 and 2x RS-232 ports are available on DB9-M connectors. Supported operating systems include Linux and Android.
DORADO is qualified for use from -20°C to +50°C operating temperature, thus applying to industrial use conditions. Its IP20 steel enclosure (177 x 150 x 27 mm) is equipped with wall mounting brackets, allowing for wall-mounted installation. It is also FCC certified.
DORADO is natively compatible with SECO’s Clea AI/IoT platform, which easily connects edge electronic devices in the cloud and from a central server facilitates real time device monitoring, analytics, infrastructure management, predictive maintenance, secure remote software updates, and more.
